What the Chairs Wear: NY Botanical Garden Orchid Dinner

Posted By: KK on 01/31/12 10:55 AM | Categories: What the Chairs Wear

The New York Botanical Garden is celebrating Tiffany & Co. at the The Orchid Dinner on Wednesday, February 8 at the Mandarin Oriental.  We are so thrilled that our friend Fernanda Kellogg, Chairman of the Board of The Tiffany & Co. Foundation will be on hand to commemorate the festive occasion.  “It is a bight spot in a dreary winter landscape. My favorite part of the evening is the sale of rare orchids while Kirk loves dancing to Bob Hardwick”  Richard Lambertson assisted by David Hardy has designed a beautiful setting flowing with  all white orchids, 92 points of candle lights placed on specially made mahogany double length tables accented with all white leather dining chairs for a sleek and modern look. The invitation says “Cocktail Attire” and this  fragrant event calls for a spectacular dress whose blossoming, rich color reminds us of the column of an exquisite orchid.  We love how the burnished gold of the Jimmy Choo pumps and the Satin Lanvin clutch compliment the deep shade, while the shimmering jewels of diamond and amethyst from Tiffany & Co. illuminate the ensemble.

We love the stylish and creative mix at our friend, Barbara Tober’s MAD’s Annual Visionaries! Gala and Awards Ceremony at Pier Sixty
on November 14, 2011.  The evening will honor the memory of Jean-Louis Dumas,
longtime guiding light of Hermès, design legend Vladimir Kagan,
