What to Wear: Winter White Dresses

Posted By: KK on 11/29/11 4:44 PM | Categories: What to Wear

We love the chic look of donning creaming  whites during the chilly winter season.   It looks so festive for Holiday Dressing and holds the freshness straight through until spring.  Whether it is out and about in Palm Beach or lunching on Madison Avenue, these creamy dreamies will surely make a style statement.  And speaking of statements, these dresses create a perfect canvas for an inspiring Statement Necklace or Pendant, like the one we chose from SAKS.com.  For shoes and bag, you can choose to dress them up with festive metallics or pair them practically with neutral shades.  Or for some fun, try popping a color like the B. Brian Atwood Pumps from SAKS.com.

What to Wear: Black Leather Dresses

Who says a little black dress has to be boringly demure?  Look at these beauties we discovered when shopping at Bergdorf Goodman. The new leathers are so soft and supple, they drape the body in a beautiful and flattering way.    There is a stunning style here for everyone, as the classic sheaths and shapes are given a chic new look.  Leather is the perfect travel fabric – just pack one of these in your bag and you are ready for site-seeing, cocktails, dinner or theater.  This is a perfect party look for Art Basel Miami Beach this weekend.    For ‘cool girls’  – pair it with a CHIC LITTLE BOOTIE, or for ‘classic girls’ like us, we like our PERFECT PUMPS.

What to Wear: Park Avenue Tree Lighting

Posted By: KK on 11/29/11 3:52 PM | Categories: What to Wear

This Sunday, December 4th, Park Avenue will twinkle with two and a half miles of holiday trees after a ceremony that begins at 6:30pm!   The Park Avenue Memorial Tree Lighting tradition started after WWII by Mrs. Stephen C. Clark and friends, as a memorial to those who have died in all of our countries wars.  The illuminated trees on Park Avenue are made possible each year by contributions from the community to The Fund for Park Avenue. Gather on the front steps of The Brick Presbyterian Church on 91st and Park Avenue for words of remembrance and celebration from the Reverend Michael Lindvall followed by a rousing carol sing with the entire community.  This year we will also be remembering our friend, Roger Webster who was a tireless champion for The Fund.  Please be generous with your contributions.

We are so thrilled to have a great friend’s invitation for dinner with the instructions “Dress for Caroling and Holiday Fun“,  so we went shopping at Bergdorf Goodman for attire that was fittingly festive.  Nothing says “holiday” like a LRD (Little Red Dress) and this cozy Ralph Lauren knit will keep you both warm and stylish all winter long.  It is also available in Black.   We dressed it up with a sparkle of gold jewelry and topped it off with a gorgeous Fleurette Fur Trimmed Coat whose classic style makes it a perfect investment piece for a long winter’s night.    Happy Holidays!
