What to Wear: Best Florals of the Bunch

Spring is in the air and something wonderful about the first blooms of the season.   We tiptoed though the tulips to bring you the best and brightest florals we could find.  Wearing one of these pretty perrenials, you will blossom at all of spring and summer's events – from a spring luncheon to a summer's cocktail party to an daytime wedding in a garden.  If there is a trend to spot, it's the punch of black midst the bouquet.  There is so much to admire in these dresses that we like to keep the accessories simple.   Just stop and smell the roses!

Barbara Grufferman's The Best of Everything After 50

 
 

Tomorrow on The Today Show, our talented friend, Barbara Grufferman, author of The Best of Everything After 50, The Experts' Guide to Style, Sex, Health, Money, and More will be interviewed on the show.  Barb has compiled the most wonderful and essential information for women of all ages, not just the over 50's.  What2WearWhere is very proud of being highlighted in the chapter on fashion, "You Wear it Well." Saks Fifth Avenue and Diane von Furstenberg are featured through out the book so we looked to them to come up with an outfit for Barbara's interview.  We took advice right from the book in choosing this feminine and flattering DVF wrap dress in a pattern that will not be too overwhelming on TV.  These Kara Ross hoops will look amazing with Barbara's fabulous Botticelli-esque hair and won't over power this molten Alexis Bittar cuff.  These updated plaform Jimmy Choo slingbacks in a neutral tone will elgonate her gorgeous legs both on and off camera.  Matt and Meredith, Barbara is ready for her close-up, don't forget to tune in!

Travel: Channeling Charlotte Gainsbourg

Actor/singer Charlotte Gainsbourg is the epitome of French chic.  Pulling together that effortless look seems to be apart of the Parisian gene; they make it look so easy?!  We love Charlotte's menswear-inspiried mode, which takes her from singing in her studio to walking the red carpet at film premieres.  For the day, channel that classic look with a tucked in button-down shirt and jeans, topped off with minimalist neutral toned accessories.  During the evening, feminize the iconic tux with a sleevless version, skinny trousers and YSL platform heels.  Make your outfit pop with a bright colored scarf, such as this one from Matthew Williamson, and a studded cuff and clutch.  When you have Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg as parents it would be hard not to be cool, yet Charlotte takes it to a whole new level.

Travel: Travel: Sightseeing in Paris

Who doesn't love Paris in the springtime?!  Weather in Paris at the moment can be cool so we put together an outfit perfect for daytime sightseeing.  Essentials include this A.P.C. trench, J Brand trousers with a hint of stretch, a big enough bag to fit a French novel in,  love Edmund White's Le Flaneur (preferably one with a zip or flap, like this Chloe, to keep things safe) and comfortable yet chic shoes to handle cobblestones, loving these Lanvins!  If you want to treat yourself to lunch at Le Voltaire maybe swap out the trainers for J. Crew booties and add a LOQUITA scarf to the mix.  This outfit can take you from falling in love while strolling through the Place des Voges, to saying "I do" to the splendid St. Sulpice, followed by having a replenishing tea complete with pastel macaroons at Laduree.  Bon voyage!
