Art Basel Miami Beach is the most important art show in the United States and is happening December 3-6!  We put together three looks for all of your activities.  Miami can be quite the scene especially our fav spot, poolside at The Raleigh Hotel.  Sip mojitos both day and night, while lounging on this Art Production Fund Yoshimoto Nara Towel (hey at least this piece of art is recession friendly!)  During the day a cool corporate look is suitable.  For advice on what to see, contact Victoria Love at LoveFineArtInc.com.  Stop by Paul Kasmin Gallery’s booth, as they always put together quite the collection.  Evenings in South Beach can take you anywhere, yet for a savory and savvy time head to Casa Tua.  Adios amigos!

I'm heading up to our country house in upstate New York to
have the great stuffing (of the face) with the rest of the family (numerous aunts,
uncles, cousins, friends, pets, more cousins, etc).  As the scene is quite low key, I'm going for a

LG: This year I will be celebrating Thanksgiving in a metropolitan-manner in New York City with family and friends and a late luncheon at home.  The print on this Ossie Clark dress has a rather autumnal aura and figured I would keep it contemporary with some thigh-high over the knee Brian Atwood boots.  Post-turkey I will work off my meal with a leisurely stroll through Central Park, keeping warm in Nanette Lepore’s bow-cinching coat and a Miu Miu beret!  Let the FEAST-ivities begin!

What to Wear to a Chanel cocktail party when you can’t afford couture?!?

 If your going to San Francisco, make sure you wear a Chanel Camellia in your hair!  On Thursday, November 19th Samantha Traina and Vanessa Getty are hosting the reopening of the Chanel Boutique on Maiden Lane in SF.  Sip cocktails while viewing the Lido inspired Cruise 2010 Collection and get coco-crazy when the Mishapes perform!

GB: Love my sequins.  I'm seeing quite a few gals in leggings of the stuff these days but I prefer these flirty short shorts.  My Tibi dress is reminscent of glimpses of 80's vestiges poking out of my mother's closet, while the Tom's are a sequined and stylish way way to give back (with every purchase, Tom's gives a pair to a child in need!)  My DVF jacket can funk up any old outfit and the Topshop dress is a timeless cocktail classic.

LG: I am totally a fan of the 70s sequin trend right now!  So much so, I would even rock a head-to-toe sequin look.  Yet fear that I may resemble a survivor of a rogue disco-ball-bomb, I think I will stick to the saying a little sequin goes a long way.  Each time I throw my ROARKE necklace over a simple a t-shirt I suddenly don’t seem to notice that the clocks went back.  Or try Anshish’s sequined sleeveless number over an LBD and I bet you’ll start to feel your shoulders shimmy…  Ah I hope this trend doesn’t take a holiday as I love to disco!
