What to Wear: Corporate Interview

Posted By: KK on 09/30/09 12:15 AM | Categories: What to Wear

We thought we would help take a fraction of the stress out of
interviewing in a corporate environment by helping with what to wear. The
corporate workplace has begun to favor a more ‘smart casual’ dress code, yet classic
office attire is still the way to go – especially when making a first
impression. Let your individuality shine with great accessories such as this roomy tote.  Keep your hair and
make-up simple and your intelligence will make the impact.  Good luck!!

One of our favorite holidays is upon us… HALLOWEEN!  What to wear?
Why not try out a classic theme and channel 007– licence to thrill.
Here are two easy looks to shake (not stir.)  Tempt those
trick-or-treaters by glowing in gold as Jill Masterson in "Goldfinger."
Or hike up your skirt and grace yourself as the sexiest Hench-Women,
May Day from "A View to Kill."  Now all you need to complete your
outfit is Mr…Bond, James Bond.

What to Wear: Over the Knee Boots

Posted By: KK on 09/24/09 2:27 AM | Categories: What to Wear

Fall is upon us and tis the season of babes in boots!  We decided to pick our favorite styles to wear this fall.  Ranging from trendy over-the-knee, to short bootie, and even foul-weather wear.  Which boot will you be walking in this season?

KK: Having done
the jaunty Puss in Boots look once-upon-a-time ago,  I am opting out of
the over-the-knees this season.  Okay, maybe one pair – to wear with
shortish skirt and tights.   My boots go on in October and off in April
so I need all shapes and heel sizes, but none too flat.

Jimmy Choo Iris Stretch Boots ($885), Banana Republic Equestrian Rainboot ($98), Sigerson Morrison Wedge Booties ($675), L.A.M.B. Joelle Boots ($365),  Hunter Vegetable Rain Boots ($68.95), Diane von Furstenberg Rand Boots ($574), Cyntha Vincent Reva Boots ($395)

GB: Liking the over-the-knee look provided the boots are flat.  Especially love them with tucked-in skinny jeans.  Here are my favorite varieties this fall!

Giuseppe Zanotti Black Over-the-Knee Boots ($975), D&G Wedge Boots
($1,124.80), Navy Suede Boots by Belle by Sigerson Morrison ($499), Chloe Belted Flat Boots ($995), Pedro Garcia Dorice Booties ($495), Tory Burch Duck Boots ($295)

LG:  I like the boisterous boot trends that are popping up this season which seem to be channeling the 60’s (hello Moonboots!) to the 80’s (Pretty Woman thigh-highs!)  Regardless of over-the-knee to bootie, it is important to keep the top-half of your outfit on the simple-side as these boots can be overpowering.  Being that I am quite tall, I like that there are attractive flats out there.  Here are some styles I will be flitting about this fall!

See by Chloe ($719), Ash Cuff Boots ($310), Belle by Sigerson Morrison Flat Riding Boot ($495), Delman Darcy Boot ($499), Moonboot ($134), Giuseppe Zanoti Bootie ($699)

Cream colored queens at the Emmy's!  We loved this year's trend of glistening soft hues.  The dresses were all delicate and feminine yet a little fun and flirtatious.   Tell us what you thought!

LG:  If you’re thinking bout the 80’s it don’t matter if you’re black or white…  Ah what better way to channel my birth era than with shoulder pads, crop tops n’ jumpsuits- these trends can be quite dramatic so really loving the simplicity of black and white!

LG:  Checking out the
Spring 2010 looks I am really drawn to the delicate soft-hued tones
that are showing up.  I would punch up these bare blends with some
chunky jewels- a la Reem Arca… thinking bangles to baubles.  From
Derek Lam’s off-the-shoulder onesie to the dramatic drape of Marchesa’s
ice-blue TDF cocktail gown—yes please!
