What to Wear: Summer Wedding
Posted By: KK on 06/30/09 7:36 AM | Categories: What to Wear
Challenge: GB and LG are heading to Newport, RI in July for a great friend’s
wedding. The vibe is young, flawless LOVE. The two words that came to
mind on opening the invitation were Soul Mate, yet in reality the
invitation read: "Festive Attire." How do we pick the right look to celebrate their love, make it
flawlessly from the church ceremony to a beachside reception, and impress our friends – many of whom we haven't seen since we graduated?
What to Wear? This calls for cavorting in conga-lines full of color with a romantic
floral theme. Here are two blooming looks, which can take you from “I
do” to dinner to dancing.

What to Wear: W2WW ♥ NEW YORK

In honor our favorite city’s 400th birthday, check out three of our coveted NYC canteens and what we would order to celebrate. Not to mention, what to wear…

GEORGIANA: Summer evenings out call for a pit stop at Pala – my absolutely favorite pizza (bufala cruda!) in New York. The delicious dough is allowed to rise over 3 days so it's incredibly light and won't weigh you down so you can dance the night away without feeling like you've ingested the entirety of little Italy.
What I'd wear: I'd go with a short dress or romper, heels (obv.) and a fun blazer – a guaranteed good combo for any evening activity.
LARA: I simply relish summer dinners out back in Raoul’s garden. I tend to feel like Alice in Through the Looking Glass as one has to step through the kitchen to get to this peaceful plot. I tend to remain pretty uniform regarding my menu choice. To start, artichoke vinaigrette followed by a steak tartare. All washed down with a bottle of rosé. Je manqué Paris.
What I'd Wear: This simple black tank dress can take me from blogging to bars. I would throw on a Ric Owens-esque blazer (Topshop!) and funk it up with some tribal silver jewerlry. Raoul’s is in cobbled Soho so I would prob sport some flat sandals. Completing my look with a daring and Deco metallic clutch. IM HUNGRY.

event, sometimes rainy and variable weather. How do I look together,
maintain a level of comfort AND prepare for rain or chill?
Wimbledon, Bethpage and anywhere in between, if you want to be
comfortable and smartly dressed for a traditional outdoor
sport event, you can't go wrong with a simple sundress
in a light cotton or jersey. This spring try one in fun colors, an a-line shape for those
with curves, or even a maxi length for the younger set.
What to Wear: Wimbledon!
Posted By: KK on 06/15/09 8:31 AM | Categories: What to Wear
What to wear? What an appropriate question being that Wimbledon is just around the crumpet, June 22nd-July 5th. As a typical British summer consists of varying tempertures reaching from high 70's to low 60's, it's important to prepare for lots of weather! W2WW Staple? A lightweight trench.
KK: I like the
freshness of this green dress for Wimbledon and it can go off to dinner
and theater. The Hunter’s are so great, I might wear them rain or
shine and throw my shoes in the bag or wear the flats and tote the
sandals.

GB and LG agree! If the weather is sunny (jolly what luck!) why not celebrate with a
summery frock. If not, cropped jeans or pants and a pretty top are perfect for rainy days. Due to the fickle weather we suggest ballet flats instead of sandals which will keep your toes comfortable (and cool).

What to Wear: Would You Maxi?
Posted By: KK on 06/11/09 3:43 AM | Categories: What to Wear
Sure we'd all love to look like Angelina Jolie, floating around the globe in those billowy long dresses, but how does the style really fair on us mere mortals? If you're not attending a black or white tie event, do you like maxi dresses in town or on the beach? Follow our debate as we give you our favorite looks for day and evening wear and don't forget to tell us what you think.

LARA: Being that I stride in a different stratosphere (I’m over
5’10”, yeah I know?!) I have been having fun with the maxi-trend.
