What an exciting evening at the New York Public Library, Library Lions on Monday, November 7. The event will be held in the magnificent, newly renovated Rose Main Reading Room. In addition to recognizing outstanding artists and wordsmiths, the event will commemorate the 50th Anniversary of Truman Capote’s Black and White Ball, the legendary soiree that has come to be know as “The Party of the Century.” A special of collection items representing Capote and this iconic 1966 event will be on display. We are mad about about a Black and White theme for Black Tie Attire. It is so lovely to look out across a room filled with elegance and style. We ran straight away to Bergorf’s to find two gowns that are a perfect fit for a sophisticated evening of dining and dancing. The Rachel Gilbert Tie Back Halter is a show stopper and we accessorized with a deserving flourish of feathers. We can picture Audrey Hepburn herself making a grand entrance in the Petite Robe de Chiari Boni Black and White Column. We carried the lady-like look with accessories of bows and pearls. Daring or Demure? You decide.
