I am beyond excited getting ready for an upcoming trip to Egypt, where I have not traveled. I have done extensive research and the conclusion is exactly what you would expect, and a quote right out of Packing for Travel. “Dress in a way that respects the traditions and mores of the country you are visiting.” So for Egypt, do not bare your shoulders, wear excessively tight clothing, or show cleavage. Bare arms are acceptable, but bring a wrap to cover them if going into a mosque. Bare legs are fine too, just not too short. Shorts are ill-advised, but we never recommend them anyway – not flattering and screams TOURIST! Keep them on the golf course. Around your hotel and at the pool, you can relax, but again, we wouldn’t overdo the exposure.
Tory’s inspiration for this collection was Southwest US but we love the way the pattern translates into a global design. There are endless ways to mix & match this collection for both day and night. The smocked jumpsuit is a no brainer, from poolside, as a cover, to evenings on the nile, just remember your wrap, clutch and statement jewelry. For more packing ideas, see our packing list below.
