This week’s pick have a nautical theme in honor of the Transatlantic Race. I shopped at Bergdorf Goodman and found some fun pieces that work for the seafarer and landlubber alike. Sailing has always been a big part of my life. Growing up, my father encouraged my sister and me to take sailing lessons every summer. As a result I fell in love with the sport. Our father was an avid sailor, and took part in many races. In 1972 he participated in the Transatlantic Race. It was a thrilling moment when we saw him off! This weekend, after a four year hiatus, TR will begin just off the coast of Newport Rhode Island where we spend our summers. I am so excited to participate in the events at the New York Yacht Club and Newport Shipyard leading up to the race. While not actually sailing on one of the beautiful vessels, I will be doing the next best thing, watching the starts from the perfect view at Castle Hill.
