Pack for Safari

Take a walk on the wild side! A safari is truly an unforgettable experience  – some say life changing – and we agree,  and what to wear is key to your comfort and well being. Your adventure in the bush will at dawn and dusk so dress in layers for the broad range of temperature. It can be quite chilly before dawn and after sunset and very hot midday.

Safari apparel is based around the colors of the landscape; khaki, neutrals and greens. But before you go shopping, look in your closet for your favorite khakis and and shirts – we like the chic mix-and-match look rather than the matched Safari Suit.   In the evening, dress is casual; slacks, jeans, blouses and tunics and don’t forget your wrap or jacket.   For site-seeing we like simple wrap dresses that can go anywhere.   A great tote is key for holding your layers, camera, trip journal and the like.  For additional items, see our detailed W2WW Packing List below.   And for our other W2WW Packing Lists, including Basic Packing, Toiletries and What to Carry on the Plane, please go to W2WW Packing Lists
